This M.2 PCIe nVME SSD converter adapter allows to upgrade SSD for MacBook 2013-2015 to large capacity NVME SSD.

before installation use your original SSD to upgrade your macOS

M.2 NVME/AHCI SSD support such as Samsung 960 EVO, or Samsung 970 EVO/PRO (not suitable for 960 EVO Plus), WD Black, Crucial P1, HP EX920, ADATA SX8200, Intel 600p series NVME SSD and so on.

It cannot support recover from internet, it is important that you prepare bootable USB disk drivers (M.2 PCIe does not have OS in it, it needs to be erased first).

How to use:

1. Make sure to install the High Sierra on your old drive so that it has a newer firmware installed that can handle NVME.

2. Make a full backup of your old driver via Time Machine.

3. Create a High Sierra installer on a bootable USB stick.

4. Open the macbook and disconnect the battery while powering down the drive, making sure both the adapter and the new SSD are connected properly.

5. Reconnect the battery before closing the case.

6. Insert the Installer USB stick from step 2 and press the option key while the machine is starting.

7. Finally, once it's done, you can now go to the disk utilities to format and install it for MAC OS.

Remark;

1. You are kindly reminded that for macOS, it failed to resume from sleep mode with some NVME SSDs of some brands. Have to shut the laptop off all the time instead of closing the lid and going.

2. Fully insert our adapter into the SSD slot, and you need to prepare a bootable USB drive (see third point) with High Sierra to format the M.2 SSD first, it can't support recovery from internet.

3. There are many customers who can use it, so we suggest you to try again if your MAC can't detect the nVME SSD.
